04.22.08 RAQ to Headline The Ten Ball
On Saturday May 17th, 2008, Slanted View Productions is proud to present a very special concert event over two years in the making. The Ten Ton Ball will take place in the majestic Broad Street Ballroom, six blocks south of World Trade Center Liberty Plaza, in downtown Manhattan. This night will combine the best of friends, family and music in support of The Scott Hazelcorn Children's Foundation.

The Scott Hazelcorn Children's Foundation was formed in loving memory of Scott Hazelcorn, who tragically lost his life on September 11, 2001. Longtime RAQ fan, Eric Hazelcorn and his family have set forth to honor Scott's life by creating this non-profit foundation whose mission is to provide help to all children in need with a special emphasis on children who lost a loved one on September 11th.

We would like to personally invite you to join us this spring as we gather for all the right reasons. Together, with RAQ and musical guests old and new, we will dress to impress and dance to remember. We will raise our glasses in dedication and drink in celebration. We will do what we do best, only this time with a purpose.

Cocktail attire will be required as PDT, one of New York's foremost and exclusive cocktail lounges, hosts a complimentary 3 hour open bar with catering by Ancora Restaurante to begin the evening. We ask that you dress in Black and White with a Twist of Spring color. Ladies, get your hair done. Gentleman, let's dress like we deserve our ladies.

It's time to dress up and get down!

01.30.08 TONIGHT”S SHOW POSTPONED UNTIL MARCH 15th, 2008
Dear Fans,

We are very sad to say that we were well on our way to Williamsville tonight to rock out Club Infinity and we got the call from the club owner. Apparently there is 65 mph winds and snow in the area and all the schools have closed as well as most businesses. As you know, we don't mind playing in crazy conditions, but the venue has lost all power additionally 55,000 homes in the immediate area are without power. The power company said there is NO GUARANTEE that power will be on before tomorrow afternoon. Due to this problem, we are going to have to reschedule the show until March 15th, 2008. Refunds are available at your point of purchase, or your tickets can be kept and will be honored at the new gig at Club Infinity.

The new show at Club Infinity for March 15th is going to be a great one. This is now a Saturday night gig and we look foward to bringing the live Raq high performance rock n roll back to the Buffalo area.

Stay tuned to www.raqmusic.com for more info and details. Thanks for supporting us and understanding that mother nature does rule the world.

06.20.07 LEW-AU UPDATE
Well we're less than 5 weeks away and I hope you guys are ready. I wanted to thank you all in advance for everything you guys do to support both RAQ and S.V.P. I am going to ask all of you is to remember what Lew-Au is about. Lew-Au is about all of us. Its about all of us taking the opportunity that RAQ has given us to come together and rage. An opportunity to celebrate the music we love, on our terms. It took two years for this opportunity to return. I suggest we all take advantage of it. But that also means doing it in a safe and respectful way. We're all in this together. Let's make sure we remember it when its all over.

Please buy your tickets early. There are multiple elements involved with a festival that have to be changed, altered or that evolve based upon attendance. The sooner and earlier we have a handle on that the easier and more effectively we'll be able to act and react.

I remember after the first Lew-AU thinking about the evolution of RAQ and how ,in my opinion, it's fan base had really grown into a community. The growth was not only obvious but extremely gratifying. Please bring your friends, bring your family, bring everyone you know. They'll thank you for it. We're going big.

We all know RAQ is going to bring it. They'll bring the energy, a million notes and shit you don't even know about. I'll take care of all the paperwork. So, it's up to you to come and match that energy. It's up to you to take advantage of the opportunity. Lew-Au will only be as epic as YOU make it. Our Music. Our Terms.

Be safe,
Dave Lew

Note: I am also happy to announce that Tim Reynolds with acoustic guitar in tow has decided to come out and join us for the festivities.

Tickets are now available at Musictoday.com and The Flynn Theatre Box Office in Burlington VT.

09.28.06 RAQ Mini-Concert on Jam_ON!
Thurs 10/12 11:00 am ET | Rebroadcast: Sat., Oct. 14th @ 10 pm ET

"There's no better way to get to know a new band then by hearing them perform live, so RAQ is coming up to hang out with Jonathan Schwartz and perform a mini-concert in the SIRIUS Studios! This powerhouse quartet from Burlington, Vermont, just finished recording their album, Ton These, in the legendary "Barn" in Vermont, ...and they're ready to blow you away with their tunes. Listen as the band talk about recording at Trey's, guitarist Chris Michetti does impersonations of his favorite SIRIUS DJs, and finally, the band answer the question: Who is Bootch Magoo? Tune in and listen up as RAQ plugs in and rocks out."

Be sure to pick up a copy of the current (Sept/Oct) issue of RELIX Magazine (you can find RELIX at most bookstores) as "Bootch Magoo" from Ton These is Track 4 on the included CD Sampler! The CD has 12 Tracks and RAQ is in good company as this CD also features new music from Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Ray LaMontagne, The Duhks & Government Mule. Also in quite the synchronistic alignment, the track on the sampler preceding "Bootch Magoo" is from the new John Popper Project CD featuring our friend, DJ Logic, who has now been added to the bill for "On the L" on November 24th.
